Save the Date! The next PAC General Meeting will be on Tuesday, January 27 at 6:00 in the Champlain Heights Main School Library
The Parent Advisory Council (PAC) is the official recognized voice of parents at all public schools in BC, including Champlain Heights Elementary. Under the BC School Act, parents are granted the right to take an advisory role through the PAC.
Each year, elected PAC executives work with the Principal and school staff to offer input on matters related to the school.
PAC meetings offer opportunities to:
Hear from school administrators, teachers and guest speakers.
Learn about school programs, district policies and education issues.
Share input, raise concerns and support school initiatives.
Engage more deeply in your child's learning and school life.
The PAC operates in accordance with:
Its Constitution and Bylaws
The British Columbia School Act
These ensure the PAC functions transparently and with accountability to the school community.
If your child attends Champlain Heights Elementary, you are automatically a PAC member. There’s no sign-up required, just show up and get involved!
Being part of the PAC is a great way to:
Connect with other parents and build a supportive school community.
Share your ideas and help shape the school experience.
Stay informed and engaged in your child’s education.
Make a meaningful difference at Champlain Heights.
How Our PAC Works
The PAC includes elected executive members and the broader parent/guardian community. Together, we meet with the Principal and staff approximately once a month to discuss key issues, gather parent feedback and collaborate on school related matters.
In addition to meetings, PAC communications are shared via:
Newletters
Website
Emails
Each Spring, parents and guardians can put their names forward to run for an executive role for the upcoming school year. The newly elected PAC executive begins work in the Fall.
PAC plays a vital roll in building a strong, inclusive and engaged school community. Active parental involvement helps enhance student success, confidence and school spirit.
